What people built with AI on Whacka in September 2026
In September 2026, people created and published 20,144 apps on Whacka — and 74% of them were in Arabic.
Every one of them started as a sentence someone typed. Here is what those sentences asked for.
What people built
| Kind of app | Share of September’s apps |
|---|---|
| Learning & quizzes | 16.2% |
| Business tools — stock, till, invoices, debts, expenses, customers | 14.7% |
| Games | 9.0% |
| Shops & catalogs | 8.9% |
| AI tools — chat, images, voice | 8.8% |
| Quran, prayer & adhkar | 7.6% |
| Small utilities — calculators, timers, reminders | 6.8% |
| Social & chat | 6.5% |
| Bookings & appointments | 6.3% |
| Staff, shifts & tasks | 5.9% |
| Health & fitness | 5.7% |
| School & teachers | 5.5% |
An app can count in more than one row — a shop that takes bookings counts twice — and 22% of the descriptions matched none of these categories.
Three things stood out
- Business tools are the second-largest group. Stock counts, cash registers, invoices and customer-debt ledgers: 2,955 apps, 88% of them in Arabic. Small shop owners are replacing notebooks and spreadsheets with an app they described themselves.
- One app in thirteen was for Quran, prayer or adhkar — 1,522 apps, almost all in Arabic: prayer times, tasbih counters, Quran reading plans, khatma trackers.
- Games lean the other way. Of 1,815 games, 60% were described in English, Portuguese or Spanish — the only large category where Arabic was not the majority.
How we counted
We took every app created on Whacka between 1 and 30 September 2026 that had been published by 12 October, and sorted it by keywords in its own short description. Apps whose description is written in Arabic script count as Arabic. We read no app’s content and name no app here — these are counts only.
