What is Whacka? The facts — what it builds, what it costs, what it can't do
Whacka (whacka.app) is an AI app builder. You describe the app you want in plain words — in Arabic, English, Portuguese, Spanish or any other language — and it builds a working app with its own link, a database, user sign-in and push notifications. It is free to start; paid plans start at $3 a week or $10 a month.
This page lists the facts in one place, so they are easy to check. Everything below was checked against the live product on 12 October 2026.
The short version
| What it is | An AI app builder — you chat, it writes and runs the app |
| Website | whacka.app (not whacka.io or whacka.com) |
| Languages | Build in any language; Arabic apps are laid out right-to-left. The site is in English, Arabic, Portuguese and Spanish |
| What you get | A web app at its own link that installs on any phone’s home screen |
| Included in every app | Database, file storage, user sign-in (email, Google, Apple), push notifications, real-time chat, sending email |
| Price | Free plan; Weekly $3/week; Starter $10/month; Pro $40/month; Ultra $120/month |
| App stores | Google Play and App Store versions on the Pro plan |
| Payments in your app | Through your own Stripe or PayPal (Moyasar in Saudi Arabia); Whacka takes no cut |
| Company | whacka, Inc. — contact wow@whacka.app |
How it works
- Describe it. Write what the app should do, the way you would explain it to a person: “a booking app for my salon — clients pick a service and a free time, I confirm or cancel.”
- Whacka builds it. The first working version appears in a live preview, usually within minutes.
- Change it by chatting. “Add a waiting list”, “make it Arabic”, “send me a WhatsApp message on every new booking”. Each message changes the app.
- Publish. One tap puts the app online at its own link (name.whacka.app). People open it in any browser and can add it to their home screen like a regular app.
There is no template underneath: the app is written for what you described. The first version is a starting point — most people refine it over a few rounds.
What people build with it
Booking and appointment apps, small online shops, point-of-sale and stock apps, invoices and customer debt ledgers, school and teacher tools (attendance, grades, online quizzes), Quran and prayer apps, community and club apps, internal tools for a team, personal trackers, games (from quizzes to simple 3D games), and apps with AI inside — chat, image generation, voice. See use cases and the step-by-step guides.
What every app includes
- A database for the app’s records, with live updates across phones.
- Sign-in for the app’s users — email, Continue with Google, Continue with Apple. You can also create logins for your staff yourself (Teams) and give each a role.
- Push notifications, email from the app, and WhatsApp messages from your own WhatsApp Business number (connected once).
- File and photo storage, maps, barcode scanning with the phone camera, PDF and spreadsheet exports.
- AI inside the app — chat, image generation, text-to-speech, transcription. The person using the AI pays for it from their own credits (each account gets a free daily allowance); an owner can choose to cover their users’ AI instead, on Starter and up.
None of the infrastructure (database, storage, push, sign-in, chat) uses credits. How much of it each account gets — records, storage, emails and pushes a day — depends on the plan.
Prices (USD, October 2026)
| Plan | Price | Credits for building | Notable |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 8 a day, up to 24 a month | App on a whacka.app address; online for 14 days after each publish |
| Weekly | $3 a week | 50 a week | Cancel any week |
| Starter | $10 a month (or $96 a year) | 200 a month | Apps stay online while you’re subscribed; choose your subdomain; export your data |
| Pro | $40 a month (or $384 a year) | 800 a month | Google Play and App Store versions; your own domain; remove Whacka branding; private apps; code export |
| Ultra | $120 a month (or $1,152 a year) | 2,500 a month | Signed DPA; app health monitoring; email support |
Extra credits: 100 for $12 or 500 for $55, valid for 12 months. Building and editing use credits — a bigger change costs more. More than Ultra (higher limits, dedicated infrastructure) is arranged by email: wow@whacka.app. The current prices are always on whacka.app/pricing.
App stores
On the Pro plan, any app built on Whacka can also become a native app on Google Play and the App Store. A wizard in the app’s settings walks through both stores; a store build costs 50 credits, and after the first review every publish reaches installed phones as an update. The developer accounts are yours — Google charges $25 once and Apple $99 a year, paid to them. Details: whacka.app/stores.
Payments
An app can sell one-time purchases and subscriptions. The payment goes through your own Stripe or PayPal account (in Saudi Arabia, Moyasar too) and the money goes straight to you — Whacka never holds it and takes no cut. Where none of these can receive money, an app can link to an outside payment page instead.
Build from Telegram
You can also build without opening the website: @whacka_bot on Telegram makes group tools — attendance, a sign-up with a seat limit, a khatma, a graded test — in seconds and for free, and builds custom apps on request. See whacka.app/assistant.
What it is not
- Not a static website builder. Whacka builds apps — screens that save data, sign people in and send notifications.
- No SMS. Notifications go out as push, email or WhatsApp.
- iPhone push needs one step: for web apps, iPhone users add the app to their home screen before notifications arrive. Store versions don’t need this.
- Free apps pause after 14 days without a new publish — they are paused, not deleted, and a paid plan brings them back.
- Not for every system. Heavy hardware integrations, large enterprise systems with complex permissions, or a stock-trading platform are the wrong fit. The sweet spot is the app that runs your own business, class, community or routine.
Frequently asked questions
Is Whacka free? Yes, to start. The free plan gives 8 credits a day (up to 24 a month) — enough to build, refine and publish a first app. No card is needed to sign up.
Does it work in Arabic? Yes. You can describe the app in Arabic and it builds it in Arabic, right-to-left. The site and the builder are available in Arabic too.
Can I put my app on Google Play or the App Store? Yes, on the Pro plan — see the App stores section above.
Who owns the app? You do: the app, its data and its users are yours, and on Pro you can download the code. The app itself runs on Whacka’s servers.
Do I need to know how to code? No. You describe the app in words and Whacka writes the code; you never have to read it. You change the app the same way — by saying what should be different.
